Fei-Fei is home!

What a day!  It was a feeling much like floating as we walked down a crowded street with our group of 8 to the building of Chinese Civil Affairs.  Within 60 minutes, we had this beautiful and scared child in our arms and we were a group of 9.  God is good and He covered all the details....it makes us wonder if this is how it feels as He can see change coming in our life & yet we are scared to death.  He can see the bigger picture and provides all the necessary details.  We can sometimes look back on life after being pressed into God's grace and see it so clearly, but living in the present with His joy and watching it unfold is incredible.  We are certainly pressing into Him each moment...

A few fun facts from our first day:

• Owen (Geh Geh)was the first to see her and recognize her in the crowded room.
• The grandparents (Nai Nai, Wai Po, Wai Gong) cried, laughed, cried on the way to the Civil Affairs Office :)  It is sooo incredible to have them here - what fun!
• TJ (Geh Geh) was the first one she let kiss her cheek...that smile is contagious.
• She fell asleep on Chris' (Baba) chest for a 90 min nap, what a special time.  (Baba - wondering how the Chinese word for dad ended up sounding like a sheep?...hoping for Bond--James Bond or roar-roar)
• Watermelon and steamed buns were a huge hit at dinner.
• She calmed after a bath and lotion with mom (mama)
• The blanket that Ellie made her was what she stroked with her little fingers to fall asleep for the first night.  Her big sister (Jie Jie)has already started to guide her.
