THE GOD OF ANGEL ARMIES...

"WHOM SHALL I FEAR (GOD OF ANGEL ARMIES"
by Chris Tomlin

You hear me when I call
You are my morning song
Though darkness fills the night
It cannot hide the light

Whom shall I fear?

You crush the enemy
Underneath my feet
You are my Sword and Shield
Though trouble lingers still

Whom shall I fear?

I know Who goes before me
I know Who stands behind.
The God of angel armies
is always by my side

My strength is in Your name
For You alone can save
You will deliver me
Yours is the victory
Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear

I know Who goes before me
I know Who stands behind.
The God of angel armies
is always by my side.
The one who reigns forever
He is a friend of mine.
The God of angel armies
is always by my side.

And nothing formed against me shall stand
You hold the whole world in Your hands
I'm holding on to Your promises
You are faithful...You are faithful....You are faithful

Though I have heard this song many times, I was particularly moved by it when we were singing it in church recently. The promises from a God who always goes before us, is constantly by our side and will undoubtedly stand behind us is incredibly powerful...it gives Chris and I such comfort, hope and peace on multiple levels.  Not just for us, but for our entire family, and particularly Fei...
Comfort for us as we attempt to ready our family for a new member whose first 2 years are unknown to us.  Hope as Fei continues to develop, the anticipation of her growing in her new home, yet bringing with her experiences that may be a hurdle to her future growth.  Peace as we continue to be separated from her, out of our care, for a longer period of time that we would want...that our mighty God, who loves her even more than we do, has His angel armies gathered around her, protecting her and standing by her side moment by moment.  Our God is so faithful...He's shown that time and time again...and reveals Himself constantly as He works out each and every detail, even those we have yet to think about.  All the while, going before us, standing behind us and walking each step of the journey with us.   (watch/listen at: www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vBDKtzzrR4
