It was an amazing day on the Great Wall as we learned a bunch about the culture of our daughter while remembering a father, grandfather and great grandpa. Bruce Elliott (after whom Ellie was named) was extremely fond of the Chinese culture and people. Having traveled to the east with the Canadian Merchant Marines he longed to study at Beijing University and was particularly fond of eastern medicine and culture. Above, Donna is wearing his favorite red hat while hiking this man-made wonder as a family. What a special time linking the old and the new. The Lord has had His hand upon us as we all felt great physically, the weather was reportedly better than it has been in months, and the sky was clear to see for miles. What a special time filled with anticipation, memories, education, and wonder.
